Employee FAQ
Q: How do I get my donation matched?
A: Send the receipt to Veronica Wences - it’s that easy!
Q: I don’t have time to volunteer but my kids do – and my spouse does.
A: Great! That counts! Ask us how we can help get that effort matched by the Foundation.
There is a simple form to fill out - that’s all!
Q: I do a lot of volunteer work on my own but not through the company….
A: Terrific! We really value that and would like to know more about what you do. Maybe you could become a “Deacon Community Go-Giver” and help your charity even more!
Q: Does the Foundation match GoFund me donations?
A: Depends. If the donation is made to GoFundMe.org it is matchable because it is a 501c3 public charity. Donations made to personal GoFundMe fundraisers may not be matched.
Q: If I buy toys for a drive, can I submit my receipt to be matched?
A: No, only financial donations made directly to the nonprofit organizations are matched.
Q: Where do I find organizations to donate to?
A: Contact your local Giving Committee for suggestions or use Charity Navigator to find organizations in the focus area you are passionate about.
Q: Is In-kind support only for nonprofits?
A: No, employees can identify a need in the community and submit it to the giving leads in each office.
